A brand new and innovative segmentation of the peach and nectarine range
In an overall context where food products are losing their particularities, something which includes fruit and vegetables, Nectavigne®’s approach has to go against this current: to promote the typical characteristics of vine peaches while adapting them to current consumer requirements and ensuring an offer which is controlled through the quality of the products and the professionalism of the participants involved in the process. Such is the challenge that Nectavigne® has set itself.
Nectavigne® comes from people's passion to select the best varieties and the best growing areas. The players in the sector, producers, marketers and nursery work together to develop the production and widening of a sales calendar which extends for the moment from the beginning of August until mid-September.
Nectavigne®’s approach is the outcome of a careful combining of all the various expert work of professionals of the sector :
- passion of the plant breeder to preserve an age-old genetic heritage and to develop a product both characteristic and adapted to modern consumer tastes,
- rigour of the producers to develop these new varieties in the best growing areas and to adapt the technical trajectories which respect the quality of the fruit,
- respect of the marketers to disseminate Nectavigne® using a coherent sales approach enabling the consumer to identify this new product.
This promotion of heritage and expertise must allow fair reward for the efforts of those who have committed themselves to this collective venture and due satisfaction of the expectations of consumers.

Nectavigne®
Not everything can be Nectavigne®The varieties created are selected in a draconian way by all the players of the Nectavigne® sector.
Beyond the classic processes of creating varieties, there is a major and decisive stage led by all the players of the Nectavigne® sector: making a definitive selection, the final stage for deciding whether or not a variety will be developed on a large scale. The 2 criteria of this selection are simple and drastic:
- better characteristic taste,
- faultless visual quality.
to bring consistency and a guarantee of consumer satisfaction whatever the variety and time of the season. Agronomical criteria are taken into account after judgement restricted to the quality of the fruit. Then the harvested fruit is selected to satisfy the requirements of the markets and consumers.
